'It's in the genes"when they talk about my art.
I guess that's because my father, my brother,my two sons and my brother"s son have the talent, but the sons don' treally follow it. I have a grandson and a grand daughter who also are yery talented with music.
So I guess you could say I'm part of an artistic family. As far as formal training, I have zero. But I spent so much time hunting and fishing in my younger days, I think God was teaching me to observe and study nature as much as I could, because I would one day give up the hunting and fishing, and become an artist. I'm not against hunting and fishing, I just prefer to paint it now. In fact, I have also made a career of donating Original art to most of the various sportsmen's organizations to support their efforts in the field, so to speak.
As for my work, call me a realist, although with my oils, I'm beginning to loosen up quite a bit. I paint or draw in just about all the mediums except encaustic,
Thank you very much for letting me share some of my efforts with you, and I hope you will stop by often.
